| "Open wide my door, my Lord, my Lord.
......do whatever makes me love you more."
I do hope life is going swimmingly. And if you haven't heard Brother, Sister from the wonderful people in mewithoutYou, please do it for me. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, the only One worth living for.
-Yours truly
Now a gift from me to you: some creativity from the mind of Ben. A limerick:
There once was a man from Berlin Who drank too much tonic and gin. He went to the bar Where he smoked his cigar. Now his wife shan't let him back in.

| VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both
victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere
veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished.
However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands
vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin
van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious
violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held
as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one
day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise
of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very
good honor to meet you and you may call me V. - V for Vendetta | | |

8.27.06 Message from the Band
Dearest Listener,
After seven years of extensive touring in support of three
records (seventeen years as a band), we've decided to take a break of
indefinite length at the end of 2007 to preserve the environment we've
sought so hard to create and to pursue other interests. It has been a
pleasure to write, record, and perform for you through the years and
we'd like to heartily thank you for your invaluable contribution to our
musical lives.
Yours,
Nickel Creek
(Sean, Sara, and Chris)

| Song of Solomon 2:15 15 Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards; for our vineyards are in blossom.
First off, if you haven't experienced the mind-boggling joy one can experience as a result of the band mewithoutYou, please don't hesitate. However while you wait, here is a glimpse...
"I wrote a four word letter,
With post-script in crooked lines,
"Tho I'd lived I'd never been alive."
You know who I am - you held my hem
As I traveled blind
Listening to a whispering in my ear,
Soft but getting stronger,
Telling me the only purpose of my being here
Is to stay a bit longer."

Well, as I sit here in preparation to update you on my life, may i sugget the wondrous tea brought to you by the wonderful people at Tazo.

One of Tazo's Herbal Infusions, Calm™ is made from the most exotic,
flavorful and soothing ingredients on the planet: chamomile blossoms,
hibiscus flowers, spearmint leaves, rose petals, blackberry leaves,
peppermint leaves, safflower, lemon balm, lemon grass and natural
flavorings. Even though this type of beverage is often described
as an herbal tea, there is actually no tea in it at all. Instead it is
a blend of flowers, berries, fruit peels, seeds and grasses that have
been used for centuries to enhance health and well being. As a result,
it contains no caffeine. Anyways, back to my life.
My life as a summer-loving, schedule-free teenager is quickly coming to an end. I start my last year of high school this upcoming Tuesday. I am to be a Senior. The high roller year. the year of spirit-filled screamers. the senioritis year. the spirit day dress-upers year. the come to school in your jamas year. the scream "'07" at the top of your lungs for no reason year. It shall be a blast. On the more unfortunate side, my kid brother, Josiah is not only making the wondrous transition from homeschool to "real school," but is also to be the (according to my freshman gym teacher...ya for Koeppen) the scum of the earth. The bottom of the barrel. First year frosh. However, knowing Josiah, who has never hesitated to make friends (and generally manages to talk their ears off in the process), is going to flourish in this school.
I just tend to dislike this time of year, especially now that my dearest of friends all are parting their ways. From Pennsylvania to Texas, from Bloomington to Marion, all abandoning me to undergo the college experience and hopefully further advance their lives. I just want to tell you (and you know who you are) that you've truly impacted my life in many many ways. I love you all to death. And i do own a beautiful "silver stallion" Ford Taurus that possesses 192,000 glorious miles on that needs to become 200. Please give me an excuse to come visit and put some miles on my glorious, dilapidated, jalopy. :D One of my many goals is to make many college weekend visits full of fun, laughter, excitement, and the feeling you get when you see your 2nd cousins at big family reunions you haven't seen in years.
And for those that participated in the "lollypop worship," :D that was one of the most magnificant things i have participated in this summer. Please (if you are absent of mind on this topic) feel free to ask, and i shall explain. :D
Anyways, my body aches from fatigue and from the thought of getting up at 6:30am tomorrow for freshman orientation. prayer for an energized spirit is never to be regreted. I love you all so very dearly much. And please, "if it's not too late for coffee, I'll be at your place in ten." But really, let us get together one last time before departure. Good afternoon, good morning, evening, sleep well, whatever point this joyous entry may meet your eyes, I bid you my greetings.
From the man covered in clay (although a little taller and cleaner now), I give you an end of the summer gift.

Keep walking the straight and narrow... Ben

| I can't be
long because I am about to take a pill that will put me deep into the
world of slumber in preparation for the oh-so-beautiful wisdom teeth
extraction. :D I'm not going to ask, but I would always love some company. Don't come without a milkshake for me though......
........hope you all are enjoying the ends of your summers.
